Evolution guide

You can choose between six different Digimon families , and each family has its own kind of characters:

Deep Savers: Mostly water-based Digimon

Wind Guardians: Mostly holy and bird Digimon

Jungle Trooper: Mostly insectoid and vegetation Digimon

Nature Spirits: Mostly beast, dragon and dinosaur Digimon

Nightmare Soldiers: Mostly evil, dark, night-based Digimon

Metal Empire: Mostly machine and cyborg Digimon

The egg will hatch after a few seconds.

There are 7 evolution stages: Fresh - In-training - Rookie - Champion - Ultimate - Mega - Super Ultimate,

but only some Digimon can reach the Super Ultimate level.

In DMPC, as in the original v-pet, the evolution is irreversible. So when your Digimon evolves into a new form, it will never regress to te previous level.

In the TV series it's always shown that the evolution of the main Digimon characters is not permanent, and they usually return to the Rookie level after a battle. This happens because their evolution is not the result of the natural growth, but it's obtained through the energy of a digivice and with the help of a human partner.

The regular evolution, as it's shown in the v-pets and in some manga and videogames, is an irreversible process related to the growth and to the acquiring of more powers.

However, in DMPC there are also two special kinds of evolution: the Armor evolution and the DigiXros (see below).

Evolution time:

From Fresh to In-training: 1 hour

From In-training to Rookie: 6 hrours

From Rookie to Champion: 40 hours (3/4 years)

From Champion to Ultimate: 50 hours (8 years)

From Ultimate to Mega: 60 hours (13 years)

From Mega to Super Ultimate: 23 hours (15 years)

12 hours is equal to 1 year in the game.

How to get a certain character

The form in which your Digimon will evolve depends on its parameters, on the number of care mistakes, on the battles and even on turning the light on and off.

Read the istructions by pressing F1 in the game to make sure that you are not going to get a character that you don't like.

Pay attention: If you don't train your Digimon enough (fulfilling the basic requirements) until the evolution time it will never evolve!

If Attack is the highest parameter and the light is ON (at the evolution time), your Digimon will usually turn into his most "regular" evolution (for example: Gabumon into Garurumon), while if Defense or Dexterity are the highest, or the parameters are balanced, or the light is OFF, it will become an alternative Digimon. If the number of care mistakes is higher than 20, your Digimon will turn into a filthy monster (like Numemon and Sukamon) or into a character that is not similar and not related to the previous form (for example: Renamon into Meramon or Greymon into Etemon).

Read the instructions by pressing F1 in the game to see the list of all obtainable characters and to discover the possible evolutions of your Digimon.

Armor evolution:

When your Digimon wins a battle, you have a chance to receive a special item called Digi-egg that can be used to obtain the Armor evolution.

To use this item you have to press R and choose one of your gained eggs from the menu.

Armor evolution is not permanent, and the effect only lasts 5 minutes.

There are many kinds of Digi-eggs and only a few Digimon have the ability to evolve to the Armor form.

Digi-eggs:

1 Courage - (Veemon, Agumon and Dracomon)

2 Friendship - (Veemon,Elecmon and Gabumon)

3 Love - (Hawkmon,Bakumon, Biyomon)

4 Knowledge - (Armadillomon, Tentomon and Drimogemon)

5 Light - (Gatomon, Lunamon, and Renamon)

6 Hope (not implemented yet)

7 Reliability - (Armadillomon, Crabmon and Gomamon)

8 Sincerity - (Hawkmon, Palmon, and Falcomon)

9 Kindness (not implemented yet)

10 Destiny - (Terriermon and Lopmon)

11 Miracles - (Veemon)

DigiXros:

This is a special kind of evolution from the anime "Digimon Xros Wars".

If you got a Digimon like Shoutmon (or one of the other characters of Xros Wars season), after winning a battle against a compatibile Xros Digimon you will receive a DigiXros memory that allows you to perform this evolution.

To use the DigiXros memory you have to press R and choose one of your gained memories from the menu.

Permanent Digimon:

A permanent Digimon is an abnormal Digimon which has not fulfilled the basic requirements to evolve although the evolution time has passed. This kind of Digimon will never evolve, but its age will continue to increase and will be still possibile to train it and make it stronger.

A permanent Champion Digimon which is (for example) 11 year old should be much stronger than a normal Champion that is still in time to evolve to Ultimate level.
